Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co., Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded an $8,993,507 contract modification as an amendment to the existing system development and demonstration (SD&D) contract that was definitized April 15, 2001. The SD&D contract is for the Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) System SD&D Phase. The purpose of this amendment is to increase the contract value from $2,630,166,866 to $2,639,160,373. This increase is the result of an engineering change proposal to implement a new AEHF System alternate key management plan (AKMP).
