The American Hospital Association and two other hospital groups last month called the Jobs and Growth Tax Act of 2003 "disappointing," noting that the economic stimulus package headed for the Senate Finance Committee fails to include any fiscal relief for states, does not restore funds cut from the Medicaid disproportionate share hospital program (DSH) and does not adequately fund low-DSH-state programs.
