Well, it was bound t'happen. Shorty Gage got messed up with Homeland Security again.
Seems Short was settin' out, probably haulin' gear near Flat Island long after sunset last week. Short's boat Oatmeal II sets rather low in the water 'cause she don't swell up 'til near the middle of August. At night, Short's normal haulin' times, Oatmeal takes on the appearance of a mini-sub.
Best as we can tell Short's moonlight activity was called in on the Homeland Security hotline by a gaggle of late cocktail party goers sittin' on the porch of the Long Island Golf Club.
