In our latest survey of packaging improvements that appeal to today's shoppers, more than a third of respondents of all ages rated easy-to-carry as a feature they find appealing. The market for easier-to-carry packages, especially among female shoppers, is broad and irregular. It includes:
* Apartment and condo dwellers.
* Drivers with home-parking on the street.
* Many of the disabled, including hundreds of thousands of patients with muscular dystrophy.
* People, including kids, recovering from broken bones, surgery or serious illness.
