Exabyte Corporation (OTCBB: EXBT), a performance and value leader in tape backup systems, announced today that IBM has agreed to purchase Exabyte's VXA-2 tape drive for its IBM eServer iSeries family of servers. The VXA-2 drive, designed for increased performance and capacity, delivers a native capacity of up to 80 GB and a compressed capacity of up to 160 GB* at a sustained transfer rate of up to 12 MB/sec.
