ROSE MARIE BRAVO, the American boss of British fashion house Burberry, picked up a staggering [pounds sterling]19million in pay, perks, bonuses and share awards last year.
The package makes Ms Bravo one of the highest paid female executives in Europe and is bound to outrage critics of excessive rewards for corporate fat cats.
Ms Bravo, 52, collected [pounds sterling]6.2million cash for the year which ended last March and was awarded another [pounds sterling]12.6million worth of shares.
She cannot lay her hands on the shares until July 2005, but by then they could be worth considerably more.
