2003 JUN 20 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Prometheus Laboratories Inc., has announced the introduction of the first genetic test to help physicians identify a specific genetic cause of lactose intolerance in their patients. This allows the physician to tailor the patient's treatment based upon the underlying cause of the disorder.
The test, PRO-GenoLogix Lactose Intolerance, was launched in May at Digestive Disease Week in Orlando, Florida.
