Song, Delta Airlines' new subsidiary, sounds the notes of the future for air travel - sleek marketing and pay-as-you-go amenities, with a little humor thrown in to allay the aggravation and fear.
For all its perkiness, however, Song does not allow you to fly for a song - although the airline promises no passenger will pay more than $300 for a one-way ticket.
At a time when the airline industry has suffered the ill effects of terrorism, war and the bad economy, Song attempts to start a new, upbeat tune about going up, up and away.
