Danna Korn, founder of Raising Our Celiac Kids (R. O. C.K.), a support group for families of children with celiac disease, has a son who was diagnosed with celiac disease at 18 months. Celiac disease is a genetic disorder in which intolerance to gluten (a protein found in barley, oats, rye, and wheat) leads to damage of the lining of the small intestine.
