OLYMPIA, Wash. -- OLYMPIA, Wash., June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- On the one-year anniversary of the Click it or Ticket project and the implementation of Washington State's primary enforcement seat belt law, traffic deaths are down by 150 from previous years, according to the Washington Traffic Safety Commission in Olympia.
"If you compare the number of vehicle occupant deaths for the year 2002 with the previous seven-year-average, the number is down by 150, which is tremendous," said John Moffat, director of the Washington Traffic Safety Commission.
