With patriotism playing a big part in our daily lives, business travelers, including me, have been seeking out places to stay that serve as reminders of American days gone by.
If you are looking to soak up some sentiment and a whole lot of national pride, following are what I consider three very outstanding historical hotels:
- In Cincinnati, Ohio: The definitive ode to French Art Deco, The Netherland Plaza (now the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza) opened to incredible reviews in 1931. Back in its day, this 624- room wonder quickly became THE place to stay for anyone who wanted to languish in the lap of luxury.
