Jun. 17--AZUSA, Calif.--Jeffrey Cornejo tells a story about his grandfathers and Leo Nasser.

It was 1939 and his grandfathers were attending Lee Intermediate School in Azusa. They couldn't afford the uniforms required for graduation.

"The cost was too much for them, so Mr. Nasser got the word and discreetly told them to come by the store for their measurements and went downtown (Los Angeles) and bought a bunch of forest-green wool material and tailor-made them slacks free of charge and they attended the ceremony," the 25-year-old Cornejo said.
