Jun. 17--KANSAS CITY, Mo.--The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City announced Monday it has obtained formal approval from Washington to build a new headquarters near Crown Center. It should open by 2007.
The Federal Reserve System Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., on Friday approved plans for an estimated $200 million project on part of the former Trinity Lutheran Hospital campus. Approval from Washington came about one month after the project was endorsed by the board of the seven-state district overseen by the Kansas City Fed.
