When future historians trace the origins of the North-East's 21st Century cultural renaissance, they may rank Creative Partnerships ahead of all the major developments such as the Baltic or the National Glass Centre.
That would probably please the Prime Minister who launched it as a pilot scheme at the beginning of last year, saying: "I believe that we live in the most creative country in the world, a country which fizzes with skill, incentives and ideas.
"But to keep that creativity in the future, we have to engage anew ...
