When asylum seekers come to Britain, should they be kept on hold for the couple of years it can take for their applications to be processed or should they be given a job as soon as possible?
A job is no longer an option in Britain. Last year the rights of asylum seekers to be employed was abolished in this country under the National Immigration and Asylum Act.
The Government is trying to reduce the number of people coming to this country and the prospect of employment while you wait was considered too much of a pull.
