The main natural gas companies based in the Brazilian Northeast region will expand in at least 380 km their distribution network until the end of the year, totaling investments of R$94.5mil. Focusing on the industrial segment, due to the petrochemical pole, Bahiagas (Companhia de Gas da Bahia) will invest R$60mil to add 100km to its pipeline network until the end of 2003. The amount is two times higher than the invested in 2002.
