ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS
On Aug. 21, 1994, David Brinkley took on Denver International Airport on ABC's This Week.
In his familiar halting, cadenced style, Brinkley noted the highly-publicized problems surrounding the state-of-the-art baggage system ``which was chewing up suitcases and strewing shirts, socks and shaving cream all over the messy baggage area.''
He then commented on how the runways were cracking and sinking into holes in the ground.
``What to do in this high-tech age?'' Brinkley mused.
