Technology! Our first thoughts are computers and change. And, as Gale Smith said at the opening of our 2002 Technology@home conference held in Ottawa, even an instrument as simple as a needle is a testimonial to evolving technology. Technology is constantly changing our world. Technology evokes hope for the future. Technology offers tools and processes we believe will help us grow enough food for all, provide affordable housing, improve our health care, educate and entertain us, and save us time and energy in our everyday life--whether it be at school, at home or at work. Technology allows access to instant information and communication locally and globally.
