A number of factors adversely affect food security in Tanzania. Livelihood security here means sustainable access to resources and social services. In Tanzania, access to adequate food is crucial for family livelihood security because 80% of Tanzanians who live in rural areas rely on agriculture products as the main source of food, income, and the means of access to health and education services.
