Baotou Iron & Steel Co becomes first steel supplier for Beijing Olympic Games
Shanghai. June 18. INTERFAX-CHINA -Baotou Iron & Steel Co., a conglomerate with two listed Chinese subsidiaries, became the first steel supplier for the sports arena construction projects of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
According to the Beijing Olympic Games Steering Committee, a total investment of about RMB 280 bln (USD 33.6 bln) will be injected to upgrade Beijing's infrastructure, sites and environment over the next five years, with the huge investment to attract numerous domestic and international participants.
