PLEASANTON, Calif. -- PLEASANTON, Calif., June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Roche Diagnostics, the world's leading provider of nucleic acid-based blood screening products, announced today that the first nucleic-acid testing for West Nile Virus in North America was successfully started at the South Bend Medical Foundation, a Roche clinical trial site, on Monday, June 16. This was a full two weeks ahead of the projected July 1 start date for West Nile Virus screening in the United States and Canada.
