History, with a bearnaise sauce, is on the menu at a series of fundraising dinners the History Society is arranging in select cities this year. Intended to give our contributors a special historic night on the town, the events will offer good food and food for thought from Canada's contemporary historians.
The first event, hosted by one of Manitoba's most popular premiers, the Honourable Duff Roblin, was held May 1 at Fort Gibraltar, the replica of the North West Company's fur-trading post on the banks of the Red River in St. Boniface.
