The Indian Ministry of Commerce has imposed anti-dumping duties on ammonium nitrate imports from Russia and Iran. The action was initiated by Indian producers Deepak Fertilziers and Chemicals, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and National Fertilizer Ltd against Russian and Iranian explosive grade AN producers, but the Iran Petrochemical Commercial Co, the only Iranian producer involved, failed to respond to the petition, and Russian ammonium nitrate manufacturers failed to agree a pricing formula with Indian producers at a meeting in January initiated by the Indian Anti-Dumping Directorate.
