Jun. 20--The chief executive of a Charlotte derivatives trading firm could face a Senate confirmation hearing as early as next month for a suddenly high-profile job: head of the federal agency that regulates Freddie Mac.
The White House signaled its intention to nominate Mark Brickell of Blackbird Holdings Inc. in February but didn't officially send his name to the Senate Banking Committee until last week.
