BANAYOYO, Ilocos Sur - President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo yesterday inaugurated a P304-million road network project in this town to improve the accessibility of farmers and tourists in the Northern Luzon growth area.
The President led the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the 17.33-kilometer Santiago-Banayoyo-Lidlidda-San Emilio Rural Road Network Project in barangay Casilagan here.
The fund for the project came from a loan from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC).
After the ceremony, the President went on with the ceremonial drivethrough on board a pickup truck accompanied by former Ilocos Sur governor Luis "Chavit" Singson, ...
