Golf in the Olympic Games? Not a universally approved of notion and the arguments for and against await their crescendo.
But if the pro-lobby prevail, they will be offering the world nothing innovative.
There was an Olympian golf tournament last year and the two years before that and, probably unbeknown to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Royal & Ancient (R&A), there will be another held this year.
