NEW YORK -- Monsanto Co., St. Louis, said Monday it has signed a series of agreements with Du Pont, Wilmington, Del. for the purchase of Du Pont's Wintuk and Sayelle certification trademarks for acrylic craft yarns. The pacts include the associated research and technology for the manufacture of the bicomponent fiber from which these yarns are made.
Under the agreements, Du Pont will supply Monsanto with enough bicomponent fiber to continue an uninterrupted flow of yarn to the marketplace until it begins its own production.
