Jun. 25--Great Britain-based Rexam PLC, which employs more than 450 people at two plants in Torrington and one in Thomaston, said it has cut a handful of jobs in Torrington and restructured its production operations there.
The company said its Rexam Cosmetic Packaging Inc. operations in Torrington cut 10 jobs earlier this month, partly because of changes at two plants on Industrial Lane and Ella Grasso Avenue. The plants, which turn out lipstick and cosmetic cases, now employ about 175 people, down from about 205 people in March.
