Steven Blough was originally a probation officer, but there wasn't much opportunity for advancement in his field.
Fortunately, a friend helped him out. Blough went to work installing floors for Bob Turner, at the time the owner of Turner Floors, currently in El Cajon.
In 1982, Blough started his own firm, getting 80 percent of his work from Turner as subcontracting jobs. Eventually, Blough found work on his own.
Two family members have joined him in the business--his wife Jennifer and his son Andrew.
