There were several hundred people in the queue outside Akateeminen Kirjakauppa, a book store in Helsinki, Finland on 22 June when the new Harry Potter book was released.

Due to the public holiday in Finland on 21 June, Finns had to wait a day longer than Potter-fans elsewhere. It has been estimated that the five stores belonging to the Akateeminen chain sold 1,600-1,700 copies of the most recent Potter book during the first day.
