Consumers occasionally do the right thing when confronted by unsavory advertising proposals.
A recent example is the public reaction to a series of sleazy commercials run by Miller Brewing Co. for its Miller Lite beer. One commercial was most notable because it showed two well-turned-out young women tearing off each other's clothes and wrestling in a pit of wet concrete.
This scenario obviously has nothing to do with promoting the taste of the beer, its thick, foamy head or anything else related to quality. The commercial's only intention was to capture eyeballs for the product, which the brewer hoped might turn around sales ...
