I've known Ray Kinney for 10 years. I count him as a friend. Even so, I think I can be objective.
Kinney's passions for his wife, Paula, his three children - Sara, 10; J.R., 8; and Emily, 3 - his family, his business, his community and fun never cease to amaze me.
He has a unique knack for juggling his time, connecting people and moving on to the next challenge. You always know when he's had enough. And he always tells it like it is.
The other day I asked him about the Businessman of the Year award he accepted in Oak Brook from the Illinois State Crime Commission.
