Jun. 27--SANTA FE, N.M.--A new air ambulance service that's drawing criticism for being too noisy moved one step closer this week to a new home.
The city Public Works Committee gave preliminary approval to New Mexico Life Rescue to lease 4.9 acres at the Santa Fe Municipal Airport.
The company has operated from St. Vincent Hospital on St. Michael's Drive since late May. And for nearly as long, neighbors have been complaining about the noise caused by the Life Rescue Eurocopter Dauphin helicopter.
