Prime Minister, other Cabinet members to face police grilling over D47 highway tender

Prague. June 30. INTERFAX EUROPE - The Czech police plan to question members of the former government of Milos Zeman about the June 2002 decision to award a contract for the construction of the D47 motorway to the Israeli firm Housing & Construction (H&C) without holding a tender. The questioning will go all the way to the top of the current Czech political hierarchy, including Prime Minister Vladimir Spidla, who served as labor and social affairs minister in the Zeman government.
