Chuck Storey of Detroit often purchases fresh herbs such as parsley and cilantro for recipes, but typically he only uses a small amount. "What is the best way to store what I don't need?," he asked recently.
Although many fresh herbs are relatively inexpensive, being able to use and keep them for more than one recipe is ideal. The following storage recommendations allow you to use fresh herbs as needed.
CHOOSING: Look for herbs with bright-colored leaves that are aromatic and show no signs of wilting or browning.
