HARRISBURG, Pa., July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- On behalf of Governor Edward G. Rendell, Department of Labor and Industry Secretary Stephen M. Schmerin today announced the award of local incentive grant funding to four local Workforce Investment Boards (WIBs).

The Lehigh Valley, North Central, Southern Alleghenies and Tri-County WIBs met or exceeded their negotiated performance on at least 14 of the 15 Federal Title 1 Workforce Investment Act (WIA) measures collected in Pennsylvania.
