When White Sox outfielder Aaron Rowand went down to Triple-A Charlotte on May 2, he dragged more than a .123 batting average with him.
Rowand's swing was shattered. His confidence was getting there.
"By the time I left we were all searching, Jerry (Manuel), myself, Gary Ward our hitting coach, trying to find something that was going to work," Rowand said. "The more and more we searched the farther away we got from what got me here.
"I was getting beat pretty much every time I went to the plate. It's not a very good feeling when you go up to the plate feeling like you're already beat."
