The phone calls start before 8 in the morning, as likely to be trans-Atlantic as cross-town, one coming in this morning from the Bahamas before Robert Earl even has the chance to shower after an early morning workout.
The faxes fly like confetti on New Year's Eve, coming in to the machine at home from London before sunrise, coming in to the office from all corners of the globe with such insistence that the office machines are strictly one-way -- incoming and outgoing.
