VANITY FAIR CONSIDERS BARBIZON AS TARGET
NEW YORK -- Vanity Fair Mills, Inc., a division of VF Corp., is eyeing Barbizon Corp. for a possible acquisition, according to Peter J. Velardi, chairman of Vanity Fair.
Contacted Wednesday about reports of talks between the two firms, Velardi said: "We signed a letter of due diligence a couple of weeks ago, and we are in the process of discussing possibilities with Barbizon of buying parts or all of its assets."
