When the U.S. Supreme Court recently stepped up with a decision that requires states to follow the provisions of the federal Family and Medical Leave Act, no one was happier than Robert Blodgett.
Blodgett, who was recently named West Coast executive director of the National Fatherhood Initiative, said that men have been the missing link in the work-family balance debate and that the court's ruling may change that.
"Work-life balance has always centered on women," said Blodgett. "Men have been involved in the issue, but it has been women who have driven it and used it more."
