A deal has been inked to bring a long-awaited hotel and convention center to Lombard.
Yorktown Shopping Center and Harp Mid-America, a development firm, have reached a deal on 6.7 acres near the mall, officials announced Monday.
The developer plans a 20-story facility with a 500-room, four- star hotel and a convention center with 50,000 square feet of meeting space.
"It will be a home run," said Bob Long of Long/Pehrson Associates, the mall's management company. "For the shopping center, it's a huge plus."
