Main Street Arkansas will hold its annual conference Sept. 22-24 at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock.
Kennedy Lawson Smith, an architect and director of the National Trust for Historic Preservation's National Main Street Center will be the keynote speaker for the conference. Smith is an expert on commercial revitalization and will speak Sept. 23 about "What's Next for Main Street?"
The conference, "Destination Downtown," is sponsored by the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program. The program will include sessions on trends in Main Street cities, successful special events, planning for strong downtowns and survival strategies for small ...
