Abgenix would be a logical fit for Amgen if the biotechnology behemoth decided to acquire the developer of antibody therapies, industry experts said Thursday.
Shares of Abgenix jumped 9 percent this week amid mounting rumors that Amgen is interested in buying the Fremont-based developer of cancer combatants. The two companies already have an established relationship spanning about three years.
