CEBU CITY, July 4 Asia Pulse - The government's agrarian reform program has reportedly made a big impact on the enhancement of the Philippine economy, a senior official said.
Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Undersecretary Teddy Elson Rivera said the farmer sector contributed a lot in the economic growth, thus prompting them to focus on three directions namely land distribution, support services to farmers and integrated farm management.
"The CARP (Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program), if implemented well, can be of big help to our economy. This is one of the ways in poverty alleviation," Rivera said.
