New Jersey Mining Company (OTCBB:NJMC) recently completed a five hole diamond drilling program in the area of its New Jersey mine in Kellogg. DDH03-5 was drilled at the Scotch Thistle prospect located 1 kilometer southeast of the New Jersey mine, and intercepted 21.1 meters assaying 0.337 ppm gold.
The gold mineralization is hosted by a quartzite unit of the Prichard Formation and the gold is associated with arsenopyrite as the zone was highly anomalous in arsenic. The zone is characterized by stockwork fracturing and 5% to 10% quartz veining. The hole was inclined at -80 (degree) ...
