PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The local OFFICE CHERIFIEN DES PHOSPHATES (OCP) currently operates a fertilizer plant with an installed production capacity of 2 million tons per year (t/y) of diammonium phosphate (DAP). Yet, Morocco holds over half the world's known reserves of phosphates. As a result, in order to strengthen its world leadership position, OCP is now gearing-up to expand its production output by another 1 million t/y. The company, for that matter, currently holds a 28% share in the phosphates and its by-products market.
In so doing, OCP has retained the services of US-based JACOBS ENGINEERING to provide the basic engineering services. The new ...
