Better Dress Firms Specialty Stores Mean Business
NEW YORK -- "Years ago, everybody wanted to call on the big department stores. Now, I tell my salesman to find the best couple of specialty stores in a city and concentrate on selling to them."
So says Howard Bloom, president of Chetta B. His comment sums up the feelings of many of SA's better-to-bridge dress manufacturers. They see specialty stores playing an increasingly important role as fashion leaders and revenue makers for their products.
