Jul. 8--Local businessmen have been asked to develop affordable, priority projects to stimulate the tourism industry and maximise funding from the government, according to Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak.
He made the comments while discussing economic development issues with local officials and businessmen in Krabi and Ranong last weekend.
As the state budget for tourism development was limited, Dr Somkid said local officials and businessmen should work together to prioritise projects.
