Jul. 8--The Tennessee Valley Authority was denounced Monday by its biggest customer group for proposing to cut industrial electric rates while increasing power bills for residential and commercial power users.
"TVA wishes to give its industrial customers a free ride in paying for pollution controls by pushing its costs on to the backs of all other customers," said Harold DePriest, president of EPB in Chattanooga and chairman of the Tennessee Valley Public Power Association.
