HEALDSBURG, Calif., July 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Gallo of Sonoma faced fierce competition at the Tasters Guild Sixteenth Annual International Wine Judging, one of the world's most prestigious international wine events, but the American winery prevailed to be named the 2003 Spiegelau Gold Medal Champion for winning the most gold and double gold medals. The competition was held in Grand Rapids, Michigan on April 30 - May 3.
